The core scope
Rooms, stairs and carpeted areas build the starting point.
A quote should identify what is actually being cleaned: bedrooms, living areas, hallways, landings, basement carpet and staircases. Clear quantities make comparisons more meaningful.
- Count carpeted rooms—not every room in the home
- Mention stairs and landings separately
- Share unusually large or open-plan areas
Condition changes the work
A reset and a rescue are not the same visit.
Dark traffic lanes, sticky residue, repeated spills and heavy buildup may require more preparation or targeted treatment than routine maintenance cleaning.
- Describe the most visible concern
- Tell us about products already applied
- Set expectations around permanent damage or wear
Specialist treatment
Pet odour and colour loss need the right category.
Pet contamination may extend below the visible carpet, while bleach and some chemicals remove dye rather than leaving a removable stain. Identifying the concern prevents an unrealistically simple quote.
- Pet treatment is assessed by affected area and depth
- Bleach spots belong under colour repair, not stain cleaning
- Photos are helpful but optional for the first conversation
