Walk the site
Traffic, surfaces and access shape the real workload.
Review entrances, washrooms, kitchens, work areas, floor types, waste points and restricted spaces. Note operating hours and any security or key-control requirements.
- Identify high-traffic and high-visibility areas
- Confirm building access and alarm procedures
- Separate daily tasks from periodic detail work
Write the scope
A checklist is useful only when frequency and ownership are clear.
Specify what is included, how often it occurs, what the client supplies and which requests are extra. This gives both teams a fair way to review performance.
- Assign frequencies by task and area
- Record exclusions and periodic work
- Define consumables and waste responsibilities
Plan quality and communication
Problems should have a route to resolution.
Choose a provider that explains who receives feedback, how completion is checked and how missed or changed priorities are handled. Response time and documentation matter as much as promises.
- Set one clear contact path
- Agree on inspection or feedback rhythm
- Review and revise the scope as the site changes
