Hot-water extraction
Deep rinsing with managed moisture.
Hot-water extraction applies cleaning solution and removes suspended soil with a powerful recovery system. It is often useful for a thorough residential reset when the carpet and site are suitable.
- Preparation and pre-treatment affect the result
- Recovery performance matters as much as added moisture
- Airflow and humidity influence drying
Low-moisture methods
Faster drying does not make every method interchangeable.
Encapsulation, bonnet and other low-moisture approaches can suit maintenance programs, access limitations or specific materials. They do not automatically replace restorative extraction in every home.
- Method should match fibre and condition
- Maintenance goals differ from restorative cleaning
- Ask what the quoted process includes
How Happy House decides
Inspect, explain, then choose the process.
We consider the carpet, concern and home before setting expectations. Typical carpet drying guidance is about 4–7 hours, but airflow, humidity, construction and treatment depth can change that.
- Identify stains, odour and previous products
- Discuss ventilation and access
- Avoid universal “best method” claims
